Owning Sterling Monument Company of the Woodlands since 2021 has been an honor as we continue to build on this store’s history of excellence and service to the community. I was an elementary school PE coach and taught at Lone Star College before meeting Sterling Monument Company owner Curtis Harris through friends. While I loved what I did, through that introduction this ownership opportunity became available and we decided it was perfect for my family and me – I see it as my calling. I’m in a position where I can have a positive impact on people’s lives, especially families who have lost a loved one, and that means everything to me. But perhaps it was serendipity…my middle name is Sterling; I’m named after my granddad whose name was Sterling, so it was only natural that I would name my newborn daughter Sterling and have the good fortune to serve my community as Sterling Monument. Some things are just meant to be!
